Our Founder:
Myles Yaksich is an award-winning Canadian writer-director based in Los Angeles, whose work occupies the intersection of desire, memory, and consequence — cinema that seduces before it wounds.
Born in Canada and shaped by a global upbringing, Myles built an early career in international finance across North America and Asia before committing fully to filmmaking. That background — analytical, cross-cultural, attuned to the compromises people make to belong - runs through everything he makes.
His scripts are held in the permanent collection of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. His films have been recognized at Academy Qualifying festivals across seven countries and he has taught at Toronto Film School and UCLA Extension, where he mentored the next generation of emerging storytellers.
What distinguishes Myles as a filmmaker is an uncommon intimacy with every layer of the process - from writing to editing to the costumes his characters wear. His cinema is precise and considered, where nothing on screen is accidental and beauty is never merely decorative.
